Meniere's syndrome and tinnitus
1. Meniere's disease is a clinical syndrome characterized by vertigo, deafness, tinnitus and stuffy ears.

2. Tinnitus is a slowly developing disease.

3. The diagnosis of Meniere's disease is based on the patient's history, clinical examination, complete evaluation of the ear nerve and magnetic resonance imaging.

4. Differential diagnosis of Meniere's disease is different from vestibular neurilemmoma, conflict of eighth cranial nerve and blood vessel, migraine.

5. Anti vertigo drugs, antihistamines, diuretics, antiemetics and benzodiazepines are effective drugs for acute attack.

6. The following treatments are recommended for rehabilitation treatment:

a. Diet suggestion: low salt diet

b. Drug therapy (antihistamines, diuretics, vasodilators, antiemetics, endocorticoids, adrenocortical hormones, benzodiazepines)

c. Relaxation therapy, tinnitus psychological counseling, sound therapy, etc

d. Coordinate management of subtemporal joint disease and neck disease

e. Tympanic injection of gentamicin or steroids

f. Methods the vestibular nerve and labyrinth were operated by endolymphatic mastoid shunt or endolymphatic sac decompression

7. Some drugs and intratympanic injections are of great concern because they improve vertigo and tinnitus in most of the patients treated.



It is difficult to treat vertigo without surgery, but surgery can not prevent the development of tinnitus.
